Free School Meeting
May 24th 2012

Flyering for June
Facebook: pics are up, people like them, more “likes” since pics were
posted. Gonna try to post events for June? (esther)
Prom: good job, we made $360 dollars, adding to our previous funds of
$17. Possibly do a prom each year? If we are all still involved.
we could have put our event on noladiy, etc, maybe would have
prevented double booking of cooler stuff.
Funds: we have a total $377. We need to pay people back, Kate ~ $50
for joey’s truck, etc. Esther ~ $50 for food, gas. Need to find out
about Hilary.
Need $75 to make a Free School LLC. This will enable us to have a free
school bank account separate from any individual.
Will continue to think about other lower-key ways to make money for
free school.
big top fundraiser?: We missed the big top’s punk rock takeover event
last Sunday, can we write back to bryan and say sorry? yes. (aviva)
Calendar: Esther got done calendar side, need to get description side
done. Will print on Saturday. Will send for proofreading.
Flyering for June: is it too big? been taken down many places.
Reconceptionalize how we approach flyering – maybe we can start a
mailing? That would get flyers to peoples houses. This was an idea
that we had at the start of the free school network.
Aviva will create a list of our supporters’ mailing addresses. we
should send a few calendars in each envelope, to spread around. We
aren’t gonna pressure ourselves to get it done for June.

This all sounds great. No worries, Aviva about sending the email
before talking with me. I think its a good idea to mail calendars. It
sucks having people take down our posters.

Hey, meant to let yall know before I left....I spent like $20 on
decoration/food stuff but I'd like to donate it to the cause. no pay
