So this is a VERY vague opportunity that I was considering following up with on a different project, but am curious if the Free School would be interested in taking a shot at it? Our project sort of incorporates all of the [limited] ideas it presents. I assume you are rewarded with money--which we could use towards renting a space, programming, and organizing materials. It requires one or more of us to be able to follow through throughout the summer.
Any thoughts? Any enthusiasm on pursuing?

Friends-

A big reason I've been working with NolaVie is to help promote all of our work.

With this in mind, I want to invite y'all to participate in a lil' something that I'm putting together...

"INCUBATE!"

What it is:
3 public events, each of differing magnitude. The first event will be May 15th @ Fairfolks and a Goat. We will each present our project - no matter how lofty the vision seems. Then around June 15th, we'll give another presentation to a larger audience (there will be a few intermediate critique sessions to help each project along.) The progression will continue throughout the summer, leading up to a culminating presentation of our work at a major cultural institution (like the CAC, Ogden, or Historic New Orleans Collection).

I invite everyone to be part of this little experiment in artistic development. . . . The ideal would be that our creations - be they of poetry, painting, philosophy, business - will develop and carry into this world with substantiated purpose.

Please let me know if you're interested in participating (a response of "I am interested" will do). I'll get back with more information on how to participate.

Talk soon.

-Bb.

PS- Feel free to forward this invitation to like minded friends. Thanks.

I'm interested in working on this as I have been thinking about the
future of the free school a lot lately. Everyone I talk to has asked
me what the direction is and how are we going to keep the
"organization" (lol non-profit folks) sustainable. Why now I'm working
on a social media plan for my office and Tulane, but I should be done
by Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning. Who is up for meeting before
our meeting on Monday? Let's git' er dun!

peace,
Frank
