I'm sure by now many of you have heard of the death of Berna Lee Akin last Thursday.  Berna Lee had been a driving force behind the Sporting Dog Fanciers of NM club and a mentor to many through her knowledge of both Sporting dogs and Terriers.  She will be very much missed.

Close friends are working to contact next of kin, and have asked that no one go to her home to look for this and that.  I'm trusting that every one of us will respect those wishes.  It has been a very difficult several days.
