Okay this is what I came up with for Sat.  Once again multiple judges and switch arounds.  3 of the rings do not have lunch breaks for the stewards.  I have tried to find people to give you a break.  It may be necessary for you to simply go get food and bring it back to your ring.  Just adjust your time for the 45 minutes.

Chief Linda Jarrett

Ring 1   Judge Ann Hearn 0900-0945
                        Kenneth Levison 0945-1100
                         Marilyn Pipes 1100-1220
                         Gabriella Garcia  1220-1400

stewards   Karen Rawers 0830-1200   hopefully that will give you time to grab some food and get your dog ready to show
Kathleen Spradley  after showing (approx 1200) to 1400

Ring 2   Judge Juan Griego 0900-0945
                        Sophia Kaluzniacki 0945-1235
                        Nancy Griego 1235-1345

stewards      Kathleen Spradley 0830-1100 go show  Patty Welch 0830-1100 go show  (Hopefully Patty will now be comfortable alone after this)
Linda Jarrett  patch here 1100-1200  goes to groom and show and hopefully grab some lunch before groups
                     Patty Welch 1200-1345

Ring 3  Judge  Gloria Kerr 0900-1145 lunch then 1230-1315
                        Thomson Stanfield  1315

steward   Donna Gates 0830-1315

Ring 4    Judge Jane Blackerby  0900-0955
                         Ann Hearn 0955-1140
                         Linda Wells 1140-1230
                         Ann Hearn 1230-1325

steward  Marjorie Henson  0830-1325

Okay  Karen should be finished showing around 1300 and OH groups don’t start until 1330 with Working 6th  perhaps you can eat then if you have not or cover for Ring 1 or 4 to eat.  You cannot go to Ring 2
Janell finishes showing by 1210  and could cover 1, 2 or 4 for lunch
Phyllis could possibly do a lunch break or maybe one of the club members could bring over food.
We’re just going to have to punt on making sure everyone gets to eat.  Linda will be preparing her dogs to show at 1230 and then needs to be at group at 1400.  I will steward Terrier, Toy and Non Sporting group for Linda unless someone else wants to do them

Okay, again, I, as show chair will steward OH Groups on both Fri and Sat so not a real problem there...

My apologies for all the judge changes.  Trying to afford multiple folks an opportunity to get their permit breeds, and really created a couple of crazy rings that needed a lot of moving back and forth.  Then, losing a judge at the last minute and trying to fill that hole made it a bit crazier even.

On lunch:  Both days are potlucks and there will be plenty of food available for when your rings finish up. Personally I think it is a tacky reflection on NMSA to be sitting there eating and handing out armbands, but that's just me and my opinion.

I think everything looks okay and if not we will work it out as we go.  The weather forecast looks lovely, mid to high 70's and sunny so paws crossed.   See you guys next week!!!

Yes, I put you down as stewarding the OH groups.  As far as the judges go we have to work with it.  I just wish the scheduler for the Super would remember that stewards need a break too.  There have been many instances in the past where the food was gone for late  rings.  That’s why I suggested bringing food to the ring.   So we work with it as we can and hopefully everyone gets to groom, show, eat and steward.

Well, as I said you can blame me for having so many judges and also for the ongoing scheduling though I'm not quite sure why they did that either....Our, talking the club here, entries, both OH and handler and individual entries are our only source of income. Every thing else is outgo....judge costs, stewards, trophies, food, show site, down to the porta potties and golf carts and trash pickup.  It is like everyone gets paid but us, even Onofrio.  I never understood all that and thought that the entire entry fees went back to the club...nooooo.  :)  Let's just say our "take" from Onofrio this year will not cover our expenses.

I have requested "real" catalogs be held out for the steward ring bags...(don't ya hate those "steward books?"  We won't have a lot, so please put it back into the ring bag on Friday night....

We try to accommodate the requests to eliminate as many possible conflicts as we can and of course it can't always be done.  I'm not arguing with you, but not everyone understands all the behind the scenes chaos that goes on in putting a show together and all the expenses...I don't even WANT to think about how much we have already spent this year and our job for next year starts on Sunday, October 9.  :)

Sigh....time for more wine!!!

Its an expensive game to play for sure.  And I totally understand you trying to help out new judges etc.  But Onofrio has always done the schedule with no breaks for the stewards.  The only time stewards have a break in their schedules is if there is a single judge with them.  It has been too long since I have stewarded for other supers to know if they do the same thing.  Just have to work with it.  Its fine if you have 2 stewards per ring and they can spell each other but we often don’t have that luxury.  There is good and bad with the stewards books.  Easier for new stewards that can’t find things in a regular catalog but the problem of not having the point schedule for exhibitors comes up.  I just wish they would get a computer programmer that knew how to set things for printing.  Having a breed name on one page and the actual entries on another or cut off on the bottom etc.
