Requesting a Board Meeting

We would like to have a Board Meeting on Monday morning, September 12 at 9 am at Denney's in Edgewood (next door to Walmart) .  All members of NMSA are invited to attend.     

By way of explanation, for some time several of us have had concerns about our ongoing ability to cover shows adequately and with the same competence that we have had in the past.  This meeting is to address those concerns.  

Thanks and good luck to those headed to Colorado and Elk City, OK this weekend, and see the rest of y'all in Roswell!

As President of NMSA I do not agree that we would like to have a Board meeting -- particularly at such short notice.  Alamogordo and Las Cruces shows are a disaster since they decided to split up so scheduling will be difficult this year.  Sorry you had such trouble scheduling  Roswell and had to pull in so many show people.  Not sure for why this was difficult although some of us had scheduling conflicts with personal issues.  We should not have problems with Tor C, nor the May shows in Albuquerque, nor Farmington which follows.  I can attend the Sept 12 meeting in any case, but am not sure why I was not consulted.  Lorraine

Phyllis, all members may be invited, but that's a damned inconvenient time for those of us in Albuq.  I would have to leave by 7a.m. to be sure of getting there by 9, and it means fighting my way through all the Albuq. rush hour traffic.  If you don't want the members there, just say so; otherwise reschedule to a more reasonable time.

Roswell was no problem to schedule, not sure why you would say that. We have two new folks who want to steward and could be valuable members, so they are there. Joe Minor has been a member since May...

Just a thought as to timing, people will be coming back from Roswell and we (Kathleen and I) thought this might be a good time to catch everyone in one place. If it isn't workable, that is fine. We can do it another time, or not.

Just cancel it.  Trying to accommodate out of town board members who asked if we could meet earlier rather than later in the day, and include all NMSA members seems to be difficult if not impossible.

I can't make Monday morning either - I'm leaving Tuesday for Beardie Nationals in Massachusetts. I need to get home Sunday night to get organized.

Won't most of the Board members be in Roswell?  There should be plenty of time for a meeting there Saturday afternoon.
