Yaggies: Office Hours

Hey all!

We're thinking about piloting a new opportunity to serve the parish in
our capacity as young adults. A lot of us are grad students, working
professionals or staying busy in a unique way. We could be a great
resource for students looking to transition into those roles. Many
worry about what life is like after graduation, and having fellow
Catholic friends that have already made that leap to guide them would
be of immense help.

So, we're thinking about setting up office hours on Sundays
(tentatively 3-4pm) where we offer career advice, homework help or
just a voice of encouragement.

This will also serve as a great way to meet new Yaggies, because I
imagine that a different set of people will staff office hours every
week. We will probably have some sort of entertainment and snacks.

At the moment, I am trying to gauge interest in this idea. If you feel
like this is something you would like to do, or have any suggestions,
please email me at nicol...@gmail.com. There is absolutely no
commitment. Do let me know even if you think you'd be able to do this
only once every six months.

Thanks, everybody, for responding to my call for Office Hours volunteers. I heard back from several of you privately and it looks like we have a large enough group of volunteers that we can start doing this.

I'll be in touch with more details. I'm thinking we can start the first Sunday after Easter.
