GiveWell spoke with Professor Haushofer of Stockholm University as part of its investigation into the effect of income on subjective well-being. Conversation topics included correlational vs. experimental measures of the effect of income on well-being, channels other than consumption by which cash transfers might affect well-being, life satisfaction vs. happiness measures of well-being, and incorporating subjective well-being effects into GiveWell's analysis of deworming interventions.
