Saturday, April 4th: Volunteer Kickoff!
| |
Meet your neighbors, learn about NCG, and help us wake up the garden for the growing season! On Saturday April 4th, from 11AM to 2PM, we’ll be kicking off the growing season (and our open hours) with a day of volunteering. We’ll be making preparations for planting, organizing tools, repairing the planters, shed, and gate, and cleaning the garden and surrounding area.

Sunday, March 29th: Seed Starting Workshop
| |
On March 29th from 1:30PM to 3:00PM we’ll be holding a seed starting workshop at the garden. Come learn how and when to start seeds for spring planting! We will provide seeds, soil and seed starter trays for participants to take home. The rain date for the workshop is April 12th.

Get involved!
| |
Starting on April 4th, our open hours will be Saturdays and Sundays from 11PM - 2PM. Come by and get involved! Help us plant and care for the garden, or just take some time to enjoy the garden with your neighbors.
| |
We greatly appreciate volunteers! Whether you help out regularly or just every once in a while, your help makes the garden grow! No prior gardening experience is required—only a willing spirit and a desire to learn. Save time by registering as a volunteer in advance.
| |
| |
Upon completing 8 volunteer hours, you’re eligible to become a member of the garden, which grants you 24/7 access! Depending on availability you also become eligible to have a garden plot in which you can grow herbs, vegetables, flowers, and native plants.
| |
Whether you are looking to become a better gardener, find a peaceful escape from the city bustle, or simply want to give back to the community, your contribution is the ingredient that transforms a simple plot of land into a thriving urban sanctuary.
| |
We always welcome tax-deductible donations to the garden which help cover the materials, tools, and operational expenses that keep the garden looking beautiful.

Warmly,
