Thank you Majid for sending the email to everyone. Could you please pass this on to those subscribed to the newsletter.

Thank you,

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to remind everyone that the target audience for this event is non-Iranian Canadians. We want those who don't know about Iran or all they know is through media come to this event.

So please keep this in mind while promoting the event. Filling the seats with Iranian-Canadians is counter productive for this event as they already know most of what's going to be said about Iran.

Thank you all for your help,

Saeed

Hello,
I would like to ask everybody help us in promoting the next event that will happen next week in downtown. I will contact you again when the printed fliers are ready.

The New Windows Society & SFU Iranian Club present:

Iran 's Generation Next:

Sex, Blogs & Social Change

Iran , with 70 percent of its population under 30, is one of the world's youngest nations. Today's Iranian youth are challenging authority, tuning into global youth culture, and transforming the Islamic Republic. Journalist, author and UBC adjunct professor Deborah Campbell spent six months travelling throughout Iran to explore the social and political changes at work.

She will present slides from her journey and discuss:

New Media: how blogs and global media are changing social norms among the baby boomers

The Socio-Sexual Revolution:
shifting values, an educated populace, and disillusionment with Islamic theocracy

Malls Vs. Mosques:
the rise of materialism

Also on the panel:

Alferd Hermida is a digital news pioneer, UBC professor and a veteran BBC journalist who spent four years as a foreign correspondent in the Middle East and was a founding member of the award-winning BBCNews.com site.

Robert Hackett is an author, SFU communication professor and scholar on "Media Democracy".

Q&A:   Facilitated by Robert Anderson, Centre for Dialogue, SFU

Dear folks,

I have made a facebook event  : http://sfu.facebook.com/event.php?eid=2366538451&ref=mf
Please add your friends to the guest lists.

Cheers,
Pouya

p.s: I have printed 40 posters, let me know if you can help on putting it up in the appropriate places.
Moreover, I think having pamphlets are a good promotion but maybe we should redesign some of the typings.
