Hey guys! I’m Emma, a recent graduate of Yale College, and I’m working on developing Connectwell, a mobile app that connects students to mental health resources (including clinical care, wellness, and music & arts) on college and university campuses. Students can take a needs-based assessment to receive personalized resource recommendations, browse existing resources, engage with the mental wellness community on campus, and provide their feedback on their overall experience. We’re looking for an individual with expertise in mobile app development who is passionate about improving student mental health to come on board as a core member of our team.
Our current team consists of myself and two Yale MPH students: Tanya Yajnik, MD and Yuwen Qiu. Together, we have experience in operations, organization building, communications, design and wireframing (I've developed a prototype on AdobeXD), data analytics, machine learning, and data visualization (Yuwen has a little experience coding in Python as well). We also have deep expertise in mental health, which spans medical practice in clinical psychiatry, mental health research, and mental health advocacy. Having all watched loved ones struggle to navigate campus mental health resources, we are passionately committed to this project.
We hope to find someone who is as excited about shaping this idea (which is still in its fairly early phase) as we are, and who wants to be a member of an empathetic, creative, and highly dynamic team.
If you're interested in chatting about the project, shoot me a message! I'd be happy to send our pitch deck and demo as well.
