16 May, 2012 - THEFT FROM A PERSON

At about 1:30 PM, Officer Wm. Coppola was driving down State Street, when at Humphrey Street, he was signaled by a woman at the bus stop. She told him she'd had her cell phone in her hand and a black man atop a bicycle, snatched the phone from her as he rode by. A witness who'd seen the theft, tried following the suspect in his car, but got bogged down in heavy traffic. The suspect was described as in his twenties, wearing all black clothing including a baseball style cap. His ride was a blue mountain bike with curled handle bars.
