Hi All,

below is the proposed redistricting map.  See Alderman Elicker's notes below as to some of the changes.  It looks like SoHu is being brought into Ward 9.  Yay!

I've asked for clarification of some of the boundaries.  I am wondering if there are still some streets that are divided.  For example, between Orange and State streets, it appears that Willow st may be split between 9 and 10, but I am not sure.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for two emails in two days.  I just received the most recent version of the redistricting map (attached) and wanted to give you an opportunity to testify tonight at City Hall at 7pm on this most recent version.  The final outline of Ward 10 will still have to be altered some after this version as we are now above the optimum number of residents.  Remember this is a draft, but if you don’t testify now you will lose an opportunity to influence the process.

Relevant changes in the map in East Rock are:

1. The block encircled by Whitney, Edwards, Orange and Lawrence now in Ward 9 would become Ward 10.

2. The Bishop, Humphrey, Clark, Pearl section of East Rock currently in Ward 8 would become Ward 9.

3. The “Upper State Street” corridor currently in Ward 9 would become part of Ward 7 (downtown).
