Hi,
The StartSomeGood campaign only has 2 weeks left and quite a bit to raise. If you haven't made a pledge yet, please do so here:
bit.ly/waOjz6Lots of quick updates to share:
1. Take the first New Giving Survey.
2. Join the Open Forum on New Giving.
3. Notes on Building a New Giving Movement.
4. Some good news!
1) To start to connect more broadly with New Givers, I posted this survey. It's short. Please take it here and share with your social networks:

Here's a blurb you can use on Facebook or Twitter:
Are you a "New Giver?" Take this survey and find out. http://bit.ly/HbfLxR. If you use Twitter, please include "via @NewGiving."
2) On April 12, I am co-hosting an open chat on New Giving with StartSomeGood. We have a great lineup of speakers. We're waiting on some technology issues to resolve before we announce final details, but check out this post to learn what's going to happen and, as always, please share:

Join the Open Forum on @NewGiving with the Adventures, @StartSomeGood, @p2173, @timhwang, @Chrysaora & more! http://bit.ly/HgxSjy3) Recently, I got a challenging email that questioned the premise of the project. It inspired me to write this longer essay to clarify the background thinking that went into the project:

4) Finally, some good "insider" info for you - yesterday I took a call from someone who wants to partner on the project, and he is committing the first $1000 pledge! He is dealing with PayPal, so it will take a couple of days to show up at StartSomeGood. I also have a list of people who have committed, but not pledged yet, so we're much closer to the halfway mark of $5000 than the site can show.
Thanks for all your support. Please go out there and share some of this update with your networks!
Cheers,
NJ
