Apologies for any overlaps - just wanted to make sure this message got
to everyone...

Greetings, New Giving participants and supporters!

I've recently gotten home from the project travels. I've got a new
blog post on next steps and questions about the future of the project,
but first...

Please take 5 minutes right now to vote up the project in a contest
hosted by GOOD Maker and Echoing Green. The contest closes in about
24 hours (12pm PDT on 8/22), so this is the only blast email I'm
sending.

The award for the winner is $1000. More importantly, it will put the
project on the radar for the two hosting organizations, which can help
build credibility and attract new supporters in a big way. The
project engaged over 350 people this summer, so if everyone takes this
step, we will rock out this contest.

Step 1) Go here and vote: http://purpose.maker.good.is/projects/newgiving

Bonus Step 2) Share on your Facebook and/or Twitter. Here's a sample
update you can use:

Facebook: 24 hours left to vote Adventures in New Giving up to a $1000
award. Please vote right now and share on your timeline.

Twitter: 24 hours left to vote @NewGiving up to a $1000 award from
@GOODmkr & @EchoingGreen ow.ly/cRKFJ Pls RT

I am totally sympathetic to anyone who doesn't like registering for a
new thing, but this will mean a lot to the work we've built together,
and GOOD magazine isn't the worst list to be on (or eventually remove
oneself from).

Ok, now that you've done that, please go check out the new post What's
Next For New Giving and share your thoughts on the questions posed.

I'll be getting back to many, if not all, of you in the coming days
and weeks to re-engage and take next steps to build on the New Giving
project.

Deep gratitude,

Nathaniel James
