The Girls of Steel will be holding an open house and all are welcome:
friends, families, interested parties, sponsors!
We would like to give you the opportunity to see a little bit of what
we do. Information is provided below, but please feel free to respond
with any questions!
Who: Parents, Students, Teachers, Family, EVERYBODY!
When: September 10 from 1-3pm
Where: Carnegie Melon University, Gates Center for Computer Science
*Further information and directions will be sent out in the future.
Why: The Girls of Steel's Open House is an event where interested
girls, friends, and family can come to learn about our team and the
program of F.I.R.S.T. It will be a two hour event with lots of
information, opportunities to gain a hands on experience, and hand
outs of registration and fliers to spread the word.
Schedule:
1pm-1:15pm- Introduction
1:15-2:30pm-Stations (Electronics/Programming, Machine Shop, Robot
Demo, Minibot Demo, Non-Tech Teams, FIRST)
2:30-3pm- Parent/Adult Meeting and New Girl/Old Girl Meeting
