SMS Campaign Integration with DNC

I am looking to figure out a few things in order to be compliant with US SMS spam regulations (see http://www.experian.com/blogs/marketing-forward/2013/01/02/sms-compliance-what-you-dont-know-can-hurt-you/ for more info). The DNC module would work really well for this as an API call can be made to add numbers to be skipped when sending SMS campaigns. Vitelity, the SMS provider I'm using, can send an HTTP API call when a STOP request is sent to a keywords. This mechanism could be used to add a number to a DNC list which would be used to prevent sending SMS messages to recipients that have opted out.

What area of the code do I need to be investigating to add this functionality in? I know mod_sms is where I need to look for the frontend, but what about the backend? From what I understand celery is the component used to perform the SMS sending but I don't know where to find this in the code.

Nevermind, looks like all of this is controlled through tasks.py
