On Saturday, Feb. 13, Brendon, Lisa, Jill, Aj and Jenn met to discuss
the way forward. Aj took minutes, and I'm sure they'll show up here
eventually. One thing that was clear was that we wanted a standing
meeting, on a weekday, at 7am. So here it is...

The Organizing Committee has a standing meeting on the third Tuesday
of each month at 7am in the NWYM main floor conference room (unless
another location is named). The next meeting is **Tuesday, March 16 at
7am**.

The following will certainly be reflected in the meeting minutes, but
it's worth noting here. The Committee is very concerned about engaging
both our local Latino community and low-income families in our
community. The Committee is also committed to working well with Ray's
Fruitland.

With respect to the first concern about working with the Latino
community, Today I spoke with Janine Saxton, who runs the Community
School in Newberg. She is associated with the owners of the recently-
closed Hispanic market on First Street. Those owners are considering
reopening the store, and there may be an opportunity for the Co-op to
work synergistically together with them. If any other Committee
members would like to meet with them, let me know. I'm trying to get
some translation service set up for the meeting, too. Once the meeting
date is set, I'll post here.
