We are now accepting applications for our 18th cohort of Rutgers 4-H STEM Ambassadors.  We are looking for current 8-9th graders (will be 9-10th graders in fall of 2026) with an interest in STEM, from the urban communities of Atlantic, Camden, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Passaic, and Union counties.

INFO SESSION: Wednesday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom.  Register to attend the info session.  Bring your questions!  Meet program staff and current ambassadors!

The Rutgers 4-H STEM Ambassadors Program is a great opportunity for teens to learn about STEM, develop as a leader in their community, and prepare for college!  We encourage youth from underrepresented communities to apply, including (1) individuals who identify as one of more of the following groups: Alaskan Natives, Native Americans, Black or African Americans, Latino/Hispanic Americans, and Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders; (2) individuals with English as a second language (ESL) or English language learners (ELLs); (3) those who will be part of the first generation of their family to attend college; (4) female or nonbinary individuals; (5) those with economic barriers - family’s taxable income for the preceding year did not exceed 150 percent of the poverty level, those who qualify for free and reduced-price meals programs.

To learn more about the program and apply, visit our recruitment page.  Online applications must be submitted no later than April 10.

All the Best,
