Good Afternoon Newark Green Team Network!
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying such beautiful weather we've been having!😎
I would love to invite you all to join the Newark Office of Sustainability, Resilience, & Community Transformation for our
Newark Heat Action Day on June 4th from
5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the William Mobile Ashby Community Center, 695 Bergen St, Newark, NJ 07108. We will start off by hearing experts share their research and best practices regarding heat, including Newark's very own Kim Gaddy, South Ward Environmental
Alliance, Lauren Smalls-Mantey, PhD, from NYC Department of Health, Clinton Andrews, PhD, from Rutgers University and Peter Marcotullion, PhD, from Hunter College. After sharing their research and best practices, we will move into eating dinner together and
preparing to play the Game of Extremes, an interactive experience designed to spark learning and problem-solving in the face of extreme heat.
If you are interested in attending, please
RSVP here as registration is required! Space is limited so don't wait to RSVP!
Please share with anyone that would be interested and hope to see you there! 🙂
Thank you!
Best,
