seminar

Join Us for Part One of the Explaining Enforcement Seminar Series!

The first seminar in the three-part Explaining Enforcement seminar series will take place on Wednesday, April 2nd. The first session will be an introduction to DEP's key tools and processes.

Join us in Part One to learn about:

  • DEP's different enforcement programs provided by the Office of Enforcement Policy
  • How to use EJMAP and DataMiner to access enforcement reports through those tools.
  • Examples of collaborative projects between DEP and local governments address issues such as illegal dumping.
  • How the WARN-DEP Hotline works and how to report environmental issues in your community.

Explaining Enforcement Parts Two and Three will dive deeper into environmental regulations, rules, and permits in DEP's Air, Water, Solid Waste, and Land Use programs. This series builds on the success of the Navigating the DEP System Environmental Justice Seminar Series. Sessions will discuss the agency's existing enforcement authority within each program, exploring what constitutes a violation under state law, what actions DEP can take to ensure compliance, and how environmental justice communities can engage with DEP to expand enforcement efforts that effectively and equitably protect public health and the environment.
