Clinton Ave Park Revitalization: Join us as we will beautify Clinton Avenue Park by pruning the vegetation and planting roses—creating a space that reflects the care, hope, and community spirit Dr. King

2026 Love Your Block, Newark!:
If you’re ready to lead change in your community and help, make Newark more sustainable and resilient, gather your friends and neighbors and apply today! This resident-driven mini-grant program offers up to $5,000
to support neighborhood beautification, sustainability, and community-led projects across the city. We’re looking for innovative and creative ideas—from creating green spaces and addressing flooding to reducing waste and tackling food insecurity. Youth groups,
neighborhood and tenant associations, and first-time project leaders are strongly encouraged to apply.
Have a vision for a cleaner, greener, healthier Newark? Submit your application before the March 31 deadline

Earth Day Press Conference:
This Earth Day we will reveal the winning Gen Green youth sustainability projects at an Earth Day Press Conference at Newark City Hall from
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM. All are invited to attend, with a special welcome to young people under 24 years of age.

Join us as we learn sustainable skills, enjoy good food and music in community! Please register

There will the following activities:
Chat & Chew: Chat with us about sustainability initiatives in our city!
Build a Bench: Instructors will share how to repurpose wood, demonstrate how to use tools, and discuss wood working safety.
Bike Repairs:Bring your bike and learn how to fix a flat tire or a chain malfunction with the Newark Bicycle Shop.
Mend Clothes: Bring your clothes that need repair and learn basic clothing mending schools!
