Are you interested in starting a career in clean energy, HVAC, or green construction?
The New Jersey Environmental Justice Alliance, in partnership with Soulful Synergy, is proud to launch the NJEDA Green Construction & HVAC Professional Program — a FREE 180-hour hands-on training program designed to prepare Newark residents for careers in New Jersey’s growing green economy.
This program is ideal for Newark residents who want to enter the construction or clean energy field; are ready to commit to a full-time training schedule; and are excited about a combination of classroom learning and hands-on activities!
What You'll Recieve:
- 180 hours of professional training
- $1,500 stipend upon program completion
- Industry-recognized certifications in: BPI Building Science Principles; EPA Section 608; and OSHA 30 hours and Site Safety Training Certification
- Hands-on HVAC and weatherization skills
- Resme and interview coaching
- Job placement and mentorship support
- Transportation and supportive services (if eligibl)
The program is focused on Advanced Weatherization, preparing participants for careers improving building energy efficiency and supporting New Jersey’s clean energy transition.

- Schedule Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
