I wanted to share the Newark's Office of Sustainability, Resilience & Community Transformation upcoming events this week! (flyers attached)

• 2^nd Annual Black Climate Week: OoSRCT proudly hosts the 2^nd annual Black Climate Week! Community Care on February 17^th from 6-8PM, Movie Screening & Discussion of the film Taking Root: The vision of Wangari Maathai from 6-9PM, and February 21st, Environmental Thrifting Workshop from 12-3PM. • We also just launched the 2026 Love Your Block, Newark! Application which is now live!! If you are interested in learning more about the program, please join us at an in-person session near you! Register here

• Extreme Heat and Air Quality Working Group: The Extreme Heat and Air Quality Working Group will be meeting virtually on February 17 at 1PM. Please register here

• Community Energy Planning Sessions: Our upcoming community energy planning session will be February 25 virtually from 6-7:30PM. Please register here
