Subject: Request to Share Study on Water in Newark
To: Melinda González <melinda....@georgetown.edu>

Hello,

My name is Dr. Melinda González, and I am a Professor at Georgetown University conducting a research study examining ongoing experiences with water access, environmental health, and community life in Newark, New Jersey.

This study seeks to better understand how residents have experienced water-related challenges, how those experiences intersect with health and neighborhood conditions, and what visions community members hold for Newark’s environmental future. The goal is to ensure that residents’ voices and lived experiences are documented and represented accurately in academic and public conversations.

I would greatly appreciate your support in sharing the survey with your networks, staff, and community members who may be interested in participating.

Participation is voluntary and confidential. The survey is open to current and former Newark residents age 18 and over.

In addition, I am conducting follow-up interviews with individuals who would like to share their experiences in more depth. Anyone interested in being interviewed may contact me directly at melinda....@georgetown.edu.

Thank you for your time and for the work you do in and for the Newark community. I sincerely appreciate your consideration and support.

All my best,

Melinda González, PhD
