NEW Annual Meeting Oct 14, 2012 at 43 Main St., Groton MA

Hello racewalkers of NEW, CSURW, North Medford club, Connecticut RW and others,

 

Ed and Deborah O'Rourke have graciously invited us to their house for the annual meeting of the New England Walkers on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.  See the details in his email below.  The 5K and 10K walking events are open to all.  Walkers from other clubs may attend the business meeting to offer their input on the agenda items.  Only paid up members of the NEW may vote.  Dues may be paid at the start of the meeting.

 

Agenda items will include planning for the 25th CAN-AM Junior Meet in late July or early August in Boston, as well as other races.  Anyone may submit an agenda item to me at:  thoma...@yahoo.com

Dear groups,

I look forward to seeing you all soon. As you may know I live real close to the Rail Trail so you can drop off any food for a Pot luck beforehand at 43 Main Street in Groton. I guess as always we will gather at the end of Station Avenue at 10 AM.  We will have a 5K and a 10K and then plan to have lunch at noon, with the business meeting to follow.

Parking in my driveway and on the street is OK for all.

 

I will provide more food details as we get closer to the day.

Joanne and I will be there for the walk and meeting.

Anyone interested in an informal 5k handicap race on the way back? We stay together and go easy to the halfway point and race back. Might be fun.
