This chapter has help my concept in planning and vision in the
following ways:
Commit everything I conceptualize and plan into the hands of God.
The Benediction in Jude 24-25 is a call to God for His covering.
Show mercy to those who were once in bondage as the stalk reminder
that I was once in the same situation, do not judge others, accept
each person as a single unit serving the greater collective goal.
Give each person a chance regardless of their past failures, as God
will ultimately use everyone and everything to His greater glory.
Psalm 119:91 "Your laws continue to this very day, because all things
serve you." Help individuals to conquer their fears through inclusion
in the brotherhood, when they commit their lives to the Lord leaving
their past behind.
The vision of the ministry should be the only motivation for
commitment, making a difference through application, it's not about
what I want to do, but what God can accomplish through my efforts.
Love should be the motivating force that will keep the bond of in
partnership with each other ultimately to the greater glory of the
kingdom of God; even when in leadership we are crushed, trust has to
be the force that reinstate, and that action will make a difference in
the lives of others. As Walter Wright states "vision is seeing
tomorrow so powerfully that it shapes today." Use diversity
inclusively, accepting all talents and gifts to form a unique based
ministry not based on goal and objectives but on vision; the prophet
Habakkuk revealed what the Lord told him in Habakkuk 2:2 Then the LORD
said to me, "Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can
carry the correct message to others." [NLT] ; and the apostle Paul in
Romans 15:4 stated "For everything that was written in the past was
written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement
of the Scriptures we might have hope."
Visions are realized through planning. The Creation Story is an epic
which form the basis of how a plan is orchestrated to wholeness
through obstacles that human could not comprehend. Walter Wright
states that "Planning articulate purpose, meaning and hope in the
living of a shared vision; as stated in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the
plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not
for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." [NLT] God's plan for
humanity has been from before the foundation and there will end
successfully if we walk in His will. The key is to follow the plan for
a successful vision.
Other areas that are vital in the concept of planning and vision are
actually areas that Ministries have operated under, but not in
uniformity, but sectional based. If we should section our daily lives
and eliminate areas or do things by happenstance, then we would not be
able to operate to our full potential. In Ministry there has to be
defined order, no shortcuts, no elimination. So we would conclude
that following mission, vision, planning and implementation the next
order should be audit, review and evaluation. At the end of all this,
the scenario [which should incorporate a vision of hope] which will
help to clarify the directions for the organization. Walter Wright
states that, a scenario is an understandable and positive description
of future ministry program services and products in place and the
result of these activities. This is designed to move the organization
or community towards consensus and ownership of the future. A
scenario is a statement of faith - vision of how we see God working in
our tomorrow.
We should seek to change, if we replacing our goals and objectives
with scenario leaders will be encouraged to talk about results in the
future, and become less defensive about strategies.
In conclusion, I have been truly awakened to the thought that most
ministries based on our mission mandate in Matthew 28:19 "Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" we are operating
without a clear vision and void of a structured plan. The vision
statement at the end of this chapter has now clearly defined what our
vision is. I am now at a better place going forward to continue
making a positive impact in the lives of those I meet daily. My vision
is that our faith will be strengthened and that we live out our God-
given purpose in this generation!. This course has helped me define
Mission and Vision they are not interchangeable they are goal
oriented, and the end results intertwines them into a unit.
Thank you Pastor Steve and the team for your obedience, as if there is
one person who benefited from this course, it's me. Going forward I
intend to use this knowledge to impact others to the glory of the
kingdom of God. I am really truly grateful. Blessings!!!
