CHAPTER 3
1. Today I choose to reach within and ask the right question, “What is God’s will?”. I am focusing on God-centered activity in the world around me. I am focusing on getting on board with the Lord and being involved in God's salvation plan for His people in the world around me. I take myself out of the way. I let go and let God be ultimately in control. He knows what is best for me. I am watching and waiting on Him. I am being used as a clean vessel and a voice, an instrument of God to get His plans accomplished in and through me to impact others for His glory and honor, while giving Him the highest praise-Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

As I draw closer to God in a deeper more intimate relationship with Him and daily surrender my all to Him, God reveals his plans and His will to me. Once I know His will as I experience God. I can see the hand of God directing, guiding and leading me and accomplishing His plan through me for my life and impacting the lives of others. Through the help and teaching of His Holy Spirit I continue to remain pliable and teachable like clay in my Master Potter's hands. I am fruitful and productive as I line up my life with His Word. I adjust my life to his plans, desires and purposes, leaving the outcome to God. Doing God's will- His way, is always best. Jerm 29:11-14a says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD,

2. The cultural emphasis of this generation is a lifestyle that is highly competitive and technologically advanced, and very self-centered. Today, people are more driven to succeed, and are more encouraged to focused on "being at their very best" at all times and "doing their very best" at everything-their way and without God. Can you hear Frank Sinatra in the background crooning to "And I did it my way..."?

In our worldly narrow-minded approach, we tend to focus on our physical strengths and abilities, accomplishments, spiritual gifts, and talents. We often feel, "I'm good at this or that. God needs what I've got, so it must be His will". This is being arrogant, self-centered, selfish, ignorant and prideful. With our head's EGO, we "edge God out" and actually carve out a place for ourselves, whether or not it is God's will for us. then we are left to reap what we have sown. God doesn't want us to depend or rely on what we have been given by Him. We must avoid the temptation to rush in ahead of God, which promptly leads us out of His will. We must love God enough to be patient and wait on Him with our heart's EGO to "Exalt God Only". We have to heed 2 Chron 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." As we seek the face of God we can lead like Jesus, and say, Father God, "It is not my will, but thy will be done" (Matt 26:42),

CHAPTER 4
The Blackabys in Experiencing God (p.48)state that, "The call to salvation carries with it a summons to be on a mission with God as He reconciles a lost world to Himself. "

Matt. 22:14 declares that "For many are called, but few are chosen." I believe that those of the household of faith whom God calls, he empowers and equips to carry out this divine mission of the Great Commission of Matt 28:19-20 to "Go and tell" the Good News of salvation to a broken, hurting, lost world, dying without Christ. Therefore, the called of God must prepare themselves in being faithful and true servants on 'a high priority divine mission' of our Most Holy God in authenticity, humility, love, obedience and reverence. I believe that we are called to serve like Jesus. He is our greatest and most faithful rolemodel.
We must be as Paul prayed in Ephes 3:16-19 be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God."
Daily we need to fall in love with Jesus again and again and delve into the riches of the Word of God. His heartbeat for reaching the lost should reverberate loudly within our hearts; as we remain accessible, available, fit and prepared for the Master's use. Then we can say like the prophets and great men of faith, "Here am I, Lord. Send me."

2. I'm a firm believer that God delights in using ordinary people from ordinary walks of life to accomplish his extraordinary purposes for His honor and glory. Every man, woman and child, (except Jesus), whom God called to do a great task for Him was an ordinary flawed, at times weak and fearful human being. (Gideon, and Jonah comes to mind). When others realize the favor and grace of God working with the(unexceptional) individual, then God gets the greatest glory. So we don't have to fear our ordinary status. God is preparing us to accomplish great things in and thru us to make a big difference for Him in this world.

I'm reminded of the hymn, 'His grace is sufficient for me. His love is abounding and free. And what joy oh my soul, just to know, just to know. That His grace is sufficient for me.'
According to the Apostle Paul in 2 Cor. 12: 9-10, God said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. I too can say as an ordinary woman of God, "His grace is sufficient for me. Because in my weakness God alone is my strength and my joy.

Comment on the following: CHAPTER 3
1. “What is God’s will for my life” is not the best question to ask.
I think the right question is simply, “What is God’s will?” Once I
know
God’s will. Then I can adjust my life to Him and His proposes.
I am working on this one personally; I am really trying to focus on
what God’s will is for me and making the adjustments to my life
according to his will and his plan. The only way to know God’s will
is
to remain focused on maintaining a clear communication with him in
order to receive his divine revelation of his will.
2. I have heard so many people say, “I would really like to do that;
therefore it must be God’ will.” That kind of response is self-
centered. We need to become God –centered instead
I like the example of the yoke in the book is so great hear! Often we
are driven by our passions, talents and ability. Although God has
given these things to us for the purpose of using them to give him
glory we have to accept his invitation to get into his yoke with him
and work where he is already working, so that he can accomplish his
work with what he has already placed within us instead of us thinking
that we are doing his work with what he gave us.
3. God is far more interested in a love relationship with you than He
is in what you can do for Him. God is simply calling us to a
relationship with him where we are willing to give ourselves away to
him. He wants us to respond to him as Lord with the willingness to do
whatever he wants from a place of
submissive love and trust in his ability to know his will for our
lives as well as his understanding on how to accomplish his will.

CHAPTER 4
1. The call to salvation
is a call to be on mission with God.
God wants to reconcile the lost world to himself through Christ which
was our example of perfect servant hood. Even though he was God he
served God. We have to be moldable, available, humble and obedient to
God’s instruction because we are the only example of servant hood
that
some in the world will ever see.
2. An ordinary person is who God mostly use
Through God’s preparation ordinary people who avail themselves become
examples of God’s extra ordinary power to a watching world.

Chapter 3 & 4 Blackaby

1. What is God’s will for my life “is not the best question to ask. I
think the right question is simply, “What is God will” Once I know
God’s will, then I can adjust my life to Him, and his purpose.
The song comes to my mind, “I’ll say yes Lord yes to your will and
your way.” Like Jesus at the Garden Gethsemane, Matthew 26:39 “And he
went a little further, and fell on his face and prayed, saying, O my
Father, if it be possible, let the cup pass from me, nevertheless, not
as I will, but as thou wilt. Jesus who had no sin in his life went
through death on the cross for his Father’s will to be done. We have
to have communication with God in prayer to know what He is doing and
if we do this, we can adjust our life to his purpose for us.

2. I have heard so many people say, “I would really like to do that;
therefore it must be God’s will.” That kind of response is self-
centered. We need to become God-centered instead.
We can easily get caught up with this, if we do not communicate daily
with Him to find out His will for each one of us. We can get caught up
in things we like to do or feel comfortable in doing, that’s why we
have to pray for God direction.

3. God is more interested in a love relationship with you than He is
in what you can do for Him.
I agree because if we have a love relationship with him we will get to
know him and trust the direction he gives to us. We will be willing to
say” I give myself away so you can use me”.

Chapter 4
1. The Call to salvation is a call to be on mission by God
The call require that we be a servant of God, Jesus gave the best
role model of servanthood, which was both humble and obedience. Pg. 47
Blackaby, & king

2. An ordinary person is who God mostly want to use.
The author say God standard of excellence are different from ours. He
just want someone who is moldable and remain available for His use, so
He can reveal Himself to a watching world..

1. “What is God’s will for my life” is not the best question to ask. I
think the right question is simply, “What is God’s will?” Once I know
God’s will. Then I can adjust my life to Him and His proposes.

The question, "What is God's will for my life?", is a self centered
way of truly knowing His will. If we simply ask, "What is God's
will?". He can then not only reveal to us His true will for our lives
but also allow us to work through Him on the things He is already
doing around us. Gos wants us to trust Him and obey His will, not our
our own plans and ideas for the kingdom. He wants us to be flexible
and available to His will.He is our map and our guide through through
the confusion and doubt. He wants us to fulfill His purposes and plans
and that means we have to put our own plans aside and be obedient to
Him. All we are to Him are vessels and instruments to carry out His
will in this world. We must be faithful that He places us where we are
needed to carry out His plans and purposes for His good will.

2. I have heard so many people say, “I would really like to do that;
therefore it must be God’ will.” That kind of response is self-
centered. We need to become God –centered instead

We, as humans, have the natural tendency to put ourselves first before
all other things. At most times, that even includes God and His will.
We are by nature self centered. What God wants from us in order to
truly be effective for Him is to take that focus off ourselves and
place it on Him. When we trust our own instincts and emotions, it can
lead to bad decisions, poor choices and destructive consequences in
our lives. Once we make God the center of our lives, all decisions are
filtered through Him and His will for us. Then He can work through us
to truly accomplish His purposes and the glory belongs to Him, not us.

3. God is far more interested in a love relationship with you than He
is in what you can do for Him.

Sometimes, in doing what we think God wants us to do for Him, we run
ourselves ragged trying to accomplish things that were never in His
will for our lives. The Bible says that all things that are not built
on His foundation will eventually be tested by fire to see what is not
of Him burned away and the rest will be pure. God just wants us to be
still at time and just enter into a love relationship with Him. Take
the time to get to know Him, love on him and let Him love on us,
slowly adjust our ways and thoughts to His,Let Him teach us about Him
as He works through us, not vice versa. We need to spend time with God
to understand His heart and hear His voice. How could we truly
communicate with Him if we do not truly understand and hear him? As
the Bible says, " Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not
to your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He
will direct your path"

Comment on the following: CHAPTER 4
1. The call to salvation is a call to be on mission with God.

God wants to be reconciled with the lost and broken of this world so
they may reach salvation through Him. Once we open our hearts, confess
that He is Lord, that we are sinners and hopeless without Him and turn
our lives over to Him completely:we are now servants of the Lord meant
to join with Him in His mission of reconciliation. We are called to be
co-workers in the mission field with Him and to humbly and obediently
serve Him. Just as Jesus, while he was the Son of God, still became a
humble servant to the will of His Father. We must always make
ourselves available to whatever situation God calls us to be a part of
and remain flexible and open to different people, places and things we
may encounter along the way.

2. An ordinary person is who God mostly use

God uses people who may seem ordinary and regular so that He can work
through them to show His glory. We may think that God can't use us
because we aren't well educated, well spoken, talented, don't have
enough resources or just aren't prepared for anything of use to God.
All God needs is a person who is willing to allow God to work in their
life and He will prepare you to be exactly what He needs you to be for
His plans. It is through this, that He will reveal Himself to a
watching and waiting world who is constantly looking for signs of
hope, miracles and God's presence. God used a ordinary person like
D.L. Moody, a shoe salesman with no training but a huge heart for God,
to become one of the most influential evangelists of his day. Almost
all of Jesus' disciples were laborers with no formal training in
evangelism, pastoral studies, theology or history but they began the
greatest movement of God the world has ever seen, the Christian
church.
