1. Obedience is extremely relevant and significant in the Christian life and spiritual journey. Our response to God's assignments is directly proportional to our faith in Him His Word, His Promises, pronouncements
of punishment, and His will. Obedience is the crucial decisive act of displaying dutiful love and appreciation. In addition it is the submissive compliance to God's commandments, laws, statues and precepts. It is supported by a readiness and willingness to obey God regardless of how prepared or capable we feel that we can complete it. Obedience is faith in action and grace under pressure (courage) to believe that God will enable us and take us through anything that his will asks us to do.

Obedience affirms what we believe about God, who, when, where, why, and how we think, feel, and respond to God's call. Jesus prayed, Luke 22:42, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." It cost him his life but Jesus laid it down willingly for our salvation. Jesus paid it all as the epitome of obedience. 'All glory, honor, praise and thanksgiving be to God'. May we strive to be obedient as Jesus modeled. Gal 6:9 states, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

2. Write a short summary on your journey so far in this course. I have thoroughly enjoyed my Study of the book 'Experiencing God' by Blackaby. It has given me a plethora of refreshing perspectives, and deep insights in exploring God's Word. I am excited that, thus far in this course, I have gained a better understanding of the life principle of experiencing God. I've discovered that I am more aware of when God speaks to me and what He is saying through the means he chooses.

As a result of my daily devotions and encounters with God, I'm continuing to share my testimonies of my experiences with others (especially our youth)in witnessing, discipling and mentoring-wherever God's activity leads me. Through the Holy Spirit, I believe I am making a difference in their lives, their spiritual walk, and Journey with God, (and mine) leading them closer to Jesus.

Week 12
1) How is obedience relevant in the Christian life and journey?
We can’t stay where we are in life and go on God’s journey for us at
the same time. We can either choose to continue doing things our own
way or we can choose to do things in the way that God Wills us to go
in order to accomplish his purposes and plans. We have to be willing
to make the necessary adjustments and then we also have to make those
adjustments in our lives in order to live in complete obedience to
God’s commands. Obedience is God’s only assignment for our lives It
demonstrates to God that we love and trust Him to always work on our
behalf because he ultimately knows just what’s best for us and his
intentions are always from a heart of love.
2) Write a short summary on your journey so far in this course
* WOW! My journey so far has been very enlightening. It’s been flat
out amazing! Although I must say it has not been easy to find the time
to post my work at the appropriate time and the chapters
often challenge me personally in certain areas, however I appreciate
that God loves me enough to challenge me on this level. I can feel God
stretching me beyond my boarders and moving me beyond my comfort zone.
This has also opened up my understanding of Him and moved me to a
deeper level of knowledge and expectation. While reading this book God
has revealed himself to me in a whole new way. I am enjoying having
the experience of experiencing God on a daily basis.

1. When we adjusted our life to God, His purpose and His way we are
prepared to obey Him. Pg. 247 Blackaby
Because obedience is a outward expression of our love of God. When
the disciple obeyed Jesus, they saw and experienced God’s mighty power
working in and around them. Ehen they did not act in faith and do His
will, they did not experience His mighty work. Pg 246 Blackaby

2. My journey has not been what I wanted it to be this time. I have
dallen behind but I intend to finish this time. Thank you Bishop
Smith for given me another opportunity. I enjoyed the information in
this book and really got a lot out of it the second time reading it.
Please keep me in pray
