Analytically this chapter serves as the platitude to remind us how a
leader should operate in the context of their influence with the the
vision as the core; [why we do what we do?]. The apostle Paul used
the life of Onesimus as the platform for leaders to understand in
light of the mission [ow will the mission be accomplished through to
the visionary path]. Outline in this chapter are the scenarios and
it's just remarkable how the writer Walter wright synchronized these
six [6] chapters, that captures the minds of the readers to the fact
that everything we do or attempt to don has a foundation base that has
been tested and proven to work to accomplish the vision. We are
therefore called to tom operate in character, by so doing the values
which are affects the agents of change will be instilled and accepted
by those we are given the opportunity to lead. A disreputable person
no matter how they appear will ultimately function in the area of
their thinking. We understand that human beings are not wired and do
not have the have the proclivity to gravitate towards wholesome
situation that's why the Spirit of God has to intervene to teach us
how relative it is to live our lives each day in the righteousness of
Christ. The apostle Paul, in Romans 7:17-20 "But I need something
more! For if I know the law but still can't keep it, and if the power
of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need
help! I realize that I don't have what it takes. I can will it, but I
can't do it. I decide to do good, but I don't really do it; I decide
not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they
are, don't result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me
and gets the better of me every time." [MSG] and Mark 5:5 "Night and
day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself
with stones. " The vision must be engineered from a clear and clean
conscience or else we become sabatores of our own destiny which is our
vision.

As leaders we are expected to be intentional in our commitment to do
the following:

1. resolve conflicts without explosion, make a commitment to do what
is right,
1 Timothy 4:12 "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you
are young, but set
an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in
faith and in purity."

2. commit to long term accountability and growth.

3. lead with others in mind, be credible, Philippians 4:9 " Those
things, which ye have
Brothers and both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in
me, do: and the
God of peace shall be with you."

4. be mindful of cultures and values [shaping others starting at
where they are]
Philippians 3:13-14" Brothers and sisters, I do not consider
myself yet to have taken
hold of it. But one thing I do Forgetting what is behind and
straining toward what is
ahead, I press on toward the goal to win
the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ
Jesus.

5. Reinforce values that will affirm the vision.

6. the evaluation of peers is important as it impact performance that
sustain the culture
and fulfill the vision.

7. be intentional and strategic in pursuing the vision

8. Keep the main thing as focus "a complete vision includes both
mission and values. It
creates a picture of a future that captures who we are, both what
we do and the
values that we communicate while the doing of it." [Walter
Wright]

9. Switch roles to accommodate unforeseen situations, moving from
conformity to
creativity. Here is an illustration of a company who has become
creative, in so doing
changing the dynamics of the culture who use their products. The
food industry is a
growing vibrant organism and training in any area whether it be
food preparation, pastry
making etc. can be extremely expensive. This company the only
distributor of
products used in this area of food production has devised a very
creative method to
market their products by training individuals, charging
minuscules rates for the course
from basic to the advance stage. This company could have easily
conform to the
exorbitant rate everyone else involved in the training was
charging, but they choose to
deviate. In this case both parties gains from the end results.

10. There has to be mutual trust for team unity to flow; trust is the
foundation of leadership
trust don't necessarily have to be earned, trust should be a
given and it is a fragile gift that
must be carried gently.

Leadership is the primary component to identify, instill, reinforce
values, values that will shape and outlive the organization's
existence for the future. The culture of any organization should not
to demoralize individuals into shutting their mouths, we need to be
reunited to complete the vision.
"Don't step on the rope" is a wonderful challenge, which in effect is
that we should not get distracted, even when under extreme pressure
risk damaging the entire pack, endeavor to keep the connection
together. We should open ourselves to new suggestions, not choose to
remain the same after new ideas are received. In order for new ideas
to be effective we must embrace change.

In conclusion all that has been said cannot be realized if the
character of the leader is not wholesome and influential to the
culture of the organization, but we must know that we cannot be
wholesome in our actions until daily transformation takes place, so we
should endeavor to seek the face of God and ask Him to "Create in us a
clean heart and renew a right spirit in us" Psalm 51:10. We are not
able to do for ourselves and for others until the master Controller is
in the center of our will. As leaders mistakes will be made, but, we
must seek forgiveness and also seek to forgive others, this only can
be done when but we seek the face of the Lord who has our plan and can
orchestrate every move we make, all to His glory. Leaders should
strive to live through Philippians 2:3 "Do nothing out of selfish
ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than
yourselves." ; Ephesians 5:21 "Submit to one another out of reverence
for Christ." and 1 Peter 3:8 "Finally, all of you, live in harmony
with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate
and humble."

Psalm 51:1-16 that ended this chapter is a request that all of us
should make, as David as he saw his nothingness before God cried out
to Him in this chapter, God saw the intention of his heart and spoke
of him as "a man after His own heart." I'm sure these are words we
would like to hear God say to us, I would. My prayer is that God for
my colleagues and myself that He would blot out our transgressions and
remove our iniquities far from us.
