I have been very quiet and observant on this topic, but I believe that Antonio really got it right.  At what point do you stop doing things that have nothing to do with the practice of law?

In New Jersey, for instance, the practice of law has unfortunately devolved into attorneys doing hours of work negotiating home inspection reports on matters that are structural, mechanical, HVAC and the like, and most of these attorneys speak with authority on these topics when to my own knowledge, they can barely screw in a light bulb.

As Antonio indicated, after the attorney inspects the home, he should attend the appraisal, and lastly, be prepared to attend the final "walk through" and while he is there, help the purchasers move their furniture into the house.

So, following that line of thought, then we should be prepared to inspect the home and make sure the appraisal is correct.
