Hello Everyone,

We had a great planning party last Saturday at Mary Mount.  We measured out the locations of all garden components, signed the lease with the church, and planned out a series of work parties and shared the responsibility of organizing them all.

The next work party will be this Saturday 10am to build the wooden frames around the garden beds.  It's a big job so we will need lots of help - we cordially invite you and your friends to help out!  I'll bring the sandwiches. :)

All of the work parties have been added to a calendar - we plan to finish it off with a potluck party on June 19th!

Hello Everyone,

Congrats on the hard work last Saturday, I'm attaching a few photos to tell the story of our amazing community carpentry team that finished the bed framing at Mary Mount.

The next step will be to put the soil in the beds on Monday May 10th from 6:30pm-8:30pm.  Please bring shovels and wheelbarrows if you can.

Then on Saturday May 15th 10am we invite you to another work party to raise the shed.

Also, at noon the same day we will be doing a draw for Mary Mount plots (everyone whose membership forms we've received is eligible for a plot) and allocating them to those in attendance.  Others will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the garden to go through the process. Please bring the $40 plot fee, your reading glasses to review the garden rules, and some seeds to start planting.

Take care, Brennan

Hello Gardeners,

We got half the soil into the beds at Mary Mount on Monday evening and will be putting the rest into the beds Saturday starting at 10am.

A minor correction, the plot fees will be $30.

Some needed items are another wheelbarrow, a shovel, a soil rake, and some string/twine to mark the divisions of the beds.

Hope to see you there,
Brennan
