UPCOMING EVENTS
The Arizona Tempe Mission will be presenting “Thankful”, a choir performance on November 23rd in the Chandler Stake Center and on November 24th in the Tempe South Stake Center. This is a 12 person choir of full-time missionaries that will be singing a set of songs giving thanks and praise, with short narrations talking more about the Savior throughout the performance. Our hope is for all in attendance to be able to feel our love and testimony of the Savior through song. We encourage you to invite your friends and those in the community to participate in attending this special event. This will be a great opportunity for them to “Come and See”! We appreciate all your efforts in supporting our missionaries.”
DECEMBER EVENTS
Community Holiday Concert and Live Nativity. Friday, December 6th, 6-8pm. Join us as we host our community at our annual event! Many community choirs are participating, and so we anticipate record numbers of guests! We hope to have many ward member hands on deck to host community members to our building and make them feel welcome!
Stake Conference, Adult Session Saturday, December 7th and General Session Sunday, December 8th at 10am. Tempe West Stake Center.1050 W Grove Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85283
Relief Society Christmas Open House, Thursday, December 12th 7-8:30pm at the Pond home. 1919 E Southfork Dr, 85048. “Favorite Things” Gift Exchange (Bring a wrapped gift (value under $5) that represents one of your favorite things) and Hot Chocolate Bar.
Ward Christmas Breakfast, Sunday, December 22nd, immediately following sacrament meeting.
SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Join Stake Choir! Rehearsals at the Stake Center Sunday, November 10th, 17th, 24th and December 1st 6:30-8:00pm. Adults 14 and older are welcome. Perming at Stake Conference on December 7th.
REGULARLY SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES
Come Follow Me Class Tuesdays at 6:30pm in the RS room. Come join others and the missionaries to study the New Testament. All are invited. Or, if you would like to study with friends and kiddos in your own home, the missionaries would love to help! Give them a call and set up a good time that works for you! 480-495-5427
Hiking Group, Wednesday, November 20th at 8:45 am (and every Wednesday). Meet at the Pyramid trailhead off Chandler Blvd & 19th Ave for an hour long hike with friends. Group divides to follow 2 routes based on difficulty preference: A shorter, flatter loop or a steeper, longer route if you’re feeling it! About an hour.
Ward Choir practices 11am on Sundays in the Relief Society room.
