Cannot customize toolbar button position

When Firefox starts, the New Tab JumpStart toolbar button is always positioned between the URL input and Search input boxes, even though I've repositioned it elsewhere using toolbar customization.  How do I get it to stay where I put it?

Using version 0.5a5.5.4 with Firefox 30.0 on Linux Mint 16 (petra).

Hi Hugh,
There's a workaround. In New Tab JumpStart's options un-tick the option to show the tool bar button :)
Then add it manually through "normal" toolbar customization. As long as the option is not ticked it won't be moved from wherever you put it.
