I don't understand it, maybe something's wrong?

I have firefox 3.5.2 and New Tab JumpStart 0.5a3.4 , but I find it
doesn't work finely!

When firefox starts, only one part (recent bookmarks) appears!!!
Still, I can't close the small tab !
