Create static (lock) New Tab Jumpstart Page

Is there a way to lock the New Tab Jumpstart Page - that is make it
static? I would like to manually select my thumbs and not have them
change. Currently, intermittently, the thumbs I have carefully placed
on the Jumpstart Page are replaced by other thumbs.

You need to either Pin them by clicking on the pin icon, or go to settings (sliding down menu) and Info tab, there's tacked items - you can add urls there.
After pinning them you can reorder them anyway you wish, they should not be then moving around.

Which version of Firefox do you use?
Are you cleaning history perhaps?
