Rear Console Main Display

The one unattractive thing I find about the rear console positions (Science, Science II, etc.) is that you spend the majority of the mission with your back to "the real action".  Even though, in the series, the aft console operators (such as Geordi La Forge) would turn to report something to the Captain, they'd immediately turn around to monitor their stations.. 

To help mitigate some of that, could there be an option (a button, perhaps) on the LCARS stations (either horizontal or vertical) to select an inset view of the Main Screen display?  This would allow the back station players to be more involved in the actual storyline and would promote announcing even the slightest issues, since they would be more aware of the overall situation.  It would also help to make more sense of requests that come their way from the fore-bridge.

This is an excellent idea. The back stations are each comprised of two screens, so there would be plenty of on screen real-estate to play with. We'd need to chat to David Hernly though and see if he can achieve this technically.
