This appears to be a Fanny Crosby text, translated by L. R. L. (an
attribution that is not glossed in the hymnal), with tune by Bradbury.
As far as I can tell, the English version retains some currency only
in LDS circles (where it is widely disparaged as something the
disparagers recall as a less than thrilling part of "Primary"). It's
