1886: Deseret News editorial in support of George Q. Cannon's forfeiting bond to become a fugitive from justice: "No one believes he would have had a fair trial." The editorial adds: "And our slandering enemies need not talk about Church funds being used for this purpose, either. It is none of their business anyhow."
