1884: George Q. Cannon preaches, "Now I have heard that there are men among us who are professing to cure witchcraft and other evils of that kind... Do not seek for those who have peepstones, for soothsayers, and for those who profess to be able to counter-act the influence of witchcraft." Faithful Mormons continue using counter-charms.
