Dear Folk Dancers,

This Saturday May 20 are two festivals, The Celtic and Turkish. I plan to go to the Celtic Festival to take part in the only particpatory dancing, 11:30 am noon with the Irish Celi dancers, eat some before dancing, then go to the Turkish Festival where there is lots of good food, some performance dance and live music for dancing. Most people belly danced last year, but if we get a coiuple of us to start it, we can do debkis and other Middle East Line Dances. Here are details”

Enter the NORTH ENTRANCE ONLY!!! South Entrance will be closed.

Go West on Alameda to San Mateo (West of I-25).
Turn RIGHT(North) on San Mateo.
Turn LEFT(South) on Balloon Fiesta Parkway.
Follow the Parking ASendants direc&ons into General Parking. HANDICAPPED PARKING is available through General Parking ONLY.

Dance Stage Schedule

Saturday morning, the dance stage will showcase Irish Participatory Dancing 11:00am-12:00non 

and Scottish dance demonstration group.

Saturday afternoon will feature a Scottish Highland Dance Competition.  Scottish Highland Dancing is an athletic art form requiring dancers to excel in strength, stamina, and grace.  Competitors will be performing the dances described below. 

Sunday morning there will be a Scottish Highland Dance workshop, and Sunday afternoon there will be more dance demonstrations from Celtic Dance Groups
