Hi everyone, about the paintball event

We are hoping to have a paintball event for November 20th. I hope
everyone can make it. We had it last year and it was awesome. If you
got some beef with me, now is the chance to legally shoot me. You
could also shoot me a love ball, either way, I hope everyone can make
it. We chose thos date because, as Dan Chung mentioned, we are serving
lunch the following Sunday so we need the Saturday open to prepare for
that.

For the college students, I know you all want to go home and be with
family for the Thanksgiving week, but if you could hold off your plan
and join us for Saturday and Sunday's Thanksgiving worship, that would
be great. If you can't wait to go home, then the following Sunday we
will have paintball hand grenades waiting for you...j/k hopefully many
can make it.

You may also invite friends and family. All we ask is your reply.

The cost is $45 for everything, and I mean everything, except a suit,
but suit is not needed, just wear some thick clothes because it may be
cold. Food will also be included.

Half of our cost may be covered by our ministry budget, so don't be
too burdened by the cost. We'll figure something out.

Anyway, please reply so we can get a head count.

I have tutoring scheduled, but I am really going to try and reschedule so I can my camo back on and show the men of the EM how the ladies can cause some major paintballin' destruction... :)

About the lunch we are scheduled to serve. As most of you who at at church Sunday know, curry was served taking our planned meal. I think there is some reservation about serving it again so soon even though I thinks ours would much tastier. The last time the EM did this 2 years ago(at least that I know of since we spent a year in Oregon) we made "Soon tubu" (silken tofu with pork kimchee and seafood soup) which is a specialty of mine. It was a hit. But I know there are those tired of soup (although this is heartier than just soup).

So one option is to make that again.

We can stick with curry.

Or if anyone else has a specialty that is somewhat simple, can be made in large quantities let's hear it.

Just an FYI, the curry requires a lot more work as potatoes & carrots need to be peeled, then cut up as well as the onions and whatever meat is included.

Also keep in mind the church only gives a limited budget every week for lunch, that really can't cover the cost of even simple soup, so please don't say we should serve something like kalbi.... We would be very popular, but much poorer as well.

Thoughts and suggestions?

We actually had a change in plans so the 20th works for us. Is there an age limit? Davis and Cassie are interested but not sure because of their age.

Can I offer to be group 'mom'? I have no plans on participating in the paintball experience but am willing to come as a driver/snack person/general supportor.

Where will you be going? what is the time frame?

If it's in the morning I can go.  I have to be back on the northshore by late afternoon/early evening so can't make it if it's later in the day.

And in re: to meal, we're serving lunch on the 28th, right? Not the 21st?  So we would not be staying after paintball to prepare dinner on the 20th.  Some people were mentioning jjajang-bap; i think that may be a good idea.  Or maybe we could do a typical soup and make a side to go with it like ddukboki or mandoo or something.

Hi everyone, here is the info for this coming Saturday paintball event

25 dollars per person for 20 or more

under 20 people = 30 dollars 

private field with an option to play with public. 

NO LUNCH since we are doing only a half day (finish by noon)

be at the place by 8:30am sharp! Can't be late since we need to get gear and everything else set before we can go out there.
