 Reflection:

1.Comment on the quote from AUGUSTINE OF HIPPO “The Christian should

be an alleluia from head to foot”

The word “alleluia” means an utterance of the word “hallelujah” as an expression of worship or rejoicing. God wants our praise and worship to be fully dedicated to him, there shouldn’t be any restrictions. You cannot be celebrating the best thing in your life and sit and mumble a few words. When we see a worldly celebration the people will be expressing there joy to others. Our praise and worship should let God see that He is above everything. “I bring you good news of a great joy,” cried the angel, “which shall come to all the people” (Luke 2:10). When we hear good news we can't stop our joy and celebration, there will be singing, dancing, rejoicing, worshiping etc.

2. It is important to avoid the kind of celebration that really celebrates nothing.

The real celebration should come from our heart, it’s not like someone forced us to do. When you look at Life of David he was really celebrating his winning moments, others felt bad, he don't care about that. We will give worship when we think about the things that God did in our life. But sometimes, it is good that we need to teach our children about the importance of worship and celebration, even though it won’t give a sudden impact but later on they understands the real joy in their life.

4. What was your experience in phase one of this course

I have to say my experience in phase one was amazing, my worship and praise have increased, I have more fellowship time with God and our relationship have become stronger. I was amazed at the contents of the book and the fact that it was an easy read. Some of the thoughts are really an eye opener for me especially about worship, corrected some of my misunderstandings.

Anish, I thank you for your post. I also had an amazing experience in phase 1. I didn't originally correlate David to question two, but you are right about how David went about his experiences. What stood out to me in your comment was he didn't worry about how everyone else felt about his experience, he knew how his Father would be honored through his actions and feelings. That is something that stood out to me because it can be a struggle for me at times, because i tend to be very expressive, 100% authentic, but very expressive in everything i do and sometimes i can begin to focus on how people see that or what they might think instead of being completely focused on giving God the glory and nothing else.   Doug Adams II
