Welcome to the Emerging Leaders on line certification training. This
week allows for students to become familiar with the online process
and to introduce themselves to the class.

A.  Creating a profile and add your picture.

B. Introduce yourself to your fellow students: Tell us something about
yourself, family, ministry, your local church and a brief history of
your spiritual journey

C. Get acquainted with other members of the class: Please respond to
at least one colleague.

D. Purchases Richard Foster book “celebration of discipline” The Path
to Spiritual Growth.

Please do not start a new post; you should reply under the weekly post
there is a reply button at the end of the article.
I would also recommend that you do your writing in Microsoft word and
the cut and paste so you will not lose you work.

I look forward to reading about you. A paragraph or two is adequate.
Please remember to response to a fellow student, choosing a different
person each week.

Hello,

I know I have to play catch up since you guys are already on Week 3 of this course. My name is Soleil Angus, maiden name is Farrow which is what you may see on my profile. I am a newlywed got married last year in January. My husband and I are expecting our first child. After we got married I started to attend my husband's home church, Calvary Temple Church of God and due to the ministry their and the fellow members I wanted to get more involved. Now that I am a member of the church I have joined the Youth Department as Treasurer. I want to be inspirational to the young and learn from the old. I would like to teach them about God's word. I have plenty of studying to do but I will become educated in the Holy word just as I got educated in college.

I started to build a stronger relationship with God during my Sophomore year of College. I was undergoing many hardships with the death of my Aunt, Nana, and academic decline. Upon improving academically and working, the relationship somewhat faded away until almost a year ago and I'm a work in progress. There is so much to learn and I am eager to learn new things and obtain a greater understanding about my God and his son Jesus. I'm realizing there is no one better and in your time of need, when no one is there you can confide in God.

God Bless,

Soleil Angus

Hello Soleil Farrow and fellow Emerging Leaders:

My name is Jolene Fray, and I very much look forward to the spiritual growth I will have from being a part of the God-filled group. Currently, I am a student enrolled in a university, pursuing my Bachelors in Biology and Psychology. I originate from a Church of God background, and my grandfather is the founder of a COG church in Jamaica, West Indies. My longer term goal is to pursue the rewarding field of medicine, and help bring aid to others. I am so grateful for the many blessings that God continue to bring forth, as well as the many trials that he has given me the strength to endure. I feel the Lord is using me through the gift of poetry and music, to bring healing and inspiration to other. What I hope to gain from this group are new perspectives and insights about the Word, and further knowledge to help me better utilize my skills as a leader.

Soleil, I feel the power of God moving over your life, and I am certain that God will continue to raise you to your full potential both academically and spiritually.

Sincerely,

Jolene Fray

Hello,

Douglas H. Adams II is what my birth certificate reads, but rarely am I addressed in that manner. Many call me Doug for short or other variations of such. I am 31 happily married for 12 years in June, with 4 beautiful children. I attend J.O.Y Church of God, where I a praise God in advance for the dynamic youth ministry only He can deliver. I am not new to church, although to be honest, I’d had a “milk” appetite for my savior for far too long. I can’t even fathom the trials and tribulations I’d avoided if I knew earlier that my Father has been offering me a “steak” appetite all along.  God kept me from death and destruction, jail and divorce and countless other attacks of the enemy before I could even digest the power of his love. Not to make any of you reading this jealous, but the Lord and I are currently on our honeymoon. Lol In all seriousness I’m on fire, I don’t know all the right things to say or do, but my heart’s cry is to be inundated with his word, love, and spirit. That’s real talk, I figure I die to self daily and he’s got the rest.

God Bless

D. Adams II

Hello Everyone,
This is Dr. Elaine Brown-Cameron. I had sent my profile twice in the past. I've not noticed a response so I assume it went someplace else. I'm trying to catch up and will complete the course.
For those who have not seen my profile, I'm a member of New Covenant Church of God in Plainfield, NJ for the past 23 years after migrating from Jamaica. I have been a baptized believer since age eight years, been involved in church ministry since then and have practiced medicine in New Jersey and New York.
The cry of my heart is to disciple whoever crosses my path, especially the youth and to share Christ with those who don't know Him. My desire is to do more for God as He leads me. I am already being challenged and becoming more equipped from this course and look forward to putting God first despite myriad obstacles I am encountering.
