Friends,
I am extremely pleased and relieved to announce that the new below-grade section of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail (and East Coast Greenway) in downtown New Haven will -- at long last -- be officially opening this Friday, May 9. Hallelujah!
The historic tunnel that is the centerpiece of this segment (the other parts of which are already open) will be ungated and accessible during daylight hours. We will be at the press conference and have a table by the tunnel entrance -- please stop by and say hello!
We'll have more information about the opening on our social media and website in the next couple days.
Thanks for your support and advocacy over many years which has made this moment possible!
