Dear Farmington Canal Friends,

Just wanted to let you know there will be TWO Farmington Canal Trail clean-ups tomorrow, Saturday April 19 that you can choose from:

* New Haven -- Newhallville Learning Corridor (Hazel/Shelton) - 9:30-11am
New Haven Friends of the Farmington Canal Greenway is sponsoring a cleanup around the Learning Corridor. As part of the event we will be conducting a training on how to be a Connecticut Trail Census volunteer and monitor our infrared counter in New Haven. You can also visit the opening day of our partnering organization CPEN's Urbanscapes Native Plant Nursery at 133 Hazel Street (the nursery will be open 9:30am - 12pm). Contact Aaron (aaron...@gmail.com, 203-589-9445) with questions.

* Hamden -- 10am - 1pm -- Stop & Shop (2335 Dixwell Avenue)
AAA Northeast is organizing this cleanup of the trail in Hamden. Meet at the Stop & Shop south of Skiff Street. You can register and find out more info at this link:

There will also be another clean-up in southern Hamden on Sunday, April 27 around the "Six Lakes" property (more info here).

If you are a regular user of the Trail, we urge you to become a Trail steward and get involved with cleaning it up. Thanks for your support!
