and learn what RRI is, too!
Hi Isha,

Are you familiar with “Responsible Research & Innovation”?

Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) describes research and development processes that consider and account for the effects and potential impacts of technologies on the environment and society.

RRI is a big part of our new mission. Above are the six keys to achieving RRI, all of which are represented across New Harvest's new project portfolio.

If you want to learn more about the six keys of RRI and how they are embedded in everything we do, check out this blog post.

In the meanwhile, I want to re-introduce you to three of my teammates who all have the exact same job title: Director of RRI.

That’s a new decision, designed to keep our organization as agile and effective as possible, and to acknowledge that our work isn’t *just* research. Here are the individuals leading the our project portfolio at New Harvest:

Dr. Bre Duffy, Director of Responsible Research & Innovation - US; an expert in tissue engineering and biomaterials, who currently oversees all current grantee programs at New Harvest, including our flagship fellowship program, new projects stemming from the fellowship,  and our US collaborations.

Dr. Dwayne Holmes, Director of Responsible Research & Innovation - EU; an expert in molecular and stem cell biology, food safety, food policy, and the social implications of cellular agriculture. Dwayne currently leads our infrastructure-building efforts and our EU collaborations and ecosystem building work.

Dr. Yadira Tejeda-Saldana, Director of Responsible Research & Innovation - Canada; an expert in food science, food safety, food policy and the social implications of cellular agriculture. Yadira currently leads our policy engagement efforts related to safety and market access and our Canadian collaborations and ecosystem building work.

Reach out and say hello! And keep us in mind when you're thinking about projects and concepts that keep mission central to cellular agriculture.

Until next time,

Isha Datar
