As 2022 comes to a close, I think about what the future holds for cellular agriculture.
We're at a "go big or go home" moment because pilot plants are being built and tested. This is where the rubber meets the road in terms of investment because each plant is an experiment in itself - albeit a super expensive one.
I'm worried one or two corporate failures could tank the whole idea of cellular agriculture - and the idea of cellular agriculture is just so much bigger than what one, two, or even twenty companies can do. Just one setback could drive everything backwards - like what we saw with biofuels.
This is what New Harvest does. We foster collaboration. We fill in gaps. We de-risk the field as a whole.
For us, GOING BIG is about building shared infrastructureso that we can drive innovation forward and de-risk scale up for everyone.
