Hello Isha,
We have been experiencing lots of interesting crossover with the climate tech community lately:
Interesting connections with folks growing animal feed from cells, were the cells are fed hydrocarbons (from coal! or methanol! or methane!) and produce hydrogen gas along the way...
Learning that much of the early infrastructure for large scale biomanufacturing was built by oil and gas service providers and fractionation experts...
And finding out that the field of climate tech has the exact same problems cellular agriculture has: an ongoing tension between mission-driven vs. market-driven pressures, upside-down funding with more capital from the private sector than the public sector, flashy technologies that actually have really small scientific communities behind them, the list goes on....
But the direct connection to the podcast I'm sharing today is that it came through top recommendation from our friends at Homeworld Collective (another field-building organization, who modelled their fellowship off of the New Harvest fellowship!), who shared that Catalyst is the premier climate podcast out there.
