I’m excited to share that we’re launching New Harvest Canada Inc. 🇨🇦
Canada is a critical piece of the cellular agriculture puzzle. Since Dr. Yadira Tejeda-Saldana joined our team, we’ve known that Canada has a lot to offer the global cellular agriculture community: resources, talent, and infrastructure support. That’s why we’re taking root. We’ve just onboarded our first three Canadian board directors, we have non-profit status, we are setting up our charitable status, and we’ve already started pursuing major granting opportunities.
We’re putting a stake in the ground saying we want cell ag to happen in Canada, not to Canada.
Here’s where we might need your help. Many granting opportunities in Canada require multiple stakeholder groups to come together - public and private players, universities, and champions across government agencies. If you, your company, or your organization is interested in expansion into and/or opportunities in Canada, please let us know.* It would be awesome to figure out how we could work together to move the field forward.
We believe that cellular agriculture is a gigantic, untapped opportunity for Canada - to the tune of $12B/year and 142,000 jobs - reach out if you want to make this happen!
