Lightning/Windmill/Flying Scot Fleet Leaders - as has been the usual experience from the recent past, we have very few early registrants for the upcoming MYC One Design Regatta (6-7 Sept). This makes planning for dinners on Saturday somewhat tricky.

This year, we have a member who has offered to provide a complete full smoker dinner (meats, coleslaw, smoked mac and cheese). If the weather is looking promising such that we expect several same-day registrants, then I propose that we plan the smoker dinner on speculation that several will want to stick around for dinner (after smelling the good cooking going on all day!).

Same day dinner payments will be $20 per competitor (and the early $17 per dinner registrants will be honored).

If the weather is looking less promising, then we would fall back to those that registered early would be fed an equivalent dinner from the Auburn Pitts.

I think that the prospect of having this year’s regatta dinner be a full day smoking event would greatly enhance the regatta experience. If you agree, please pass this information on to your potential fleet participants to encourage them to join us for dinner Saturday evening.

I will plan on making a call on which dinner path to choose mid-week before the regatta.

Angie - thanks for providing the flexibility to service multiple possible outcomes!

Thanks in advance, and looking forward to excellent sailing and comradely.

Jack
